These can include options such as “imagine me surfing” or “imagine me on a roller coaster”, but the options are endless.</p>

<p>YouTube has added <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a href="https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/youtube-adds-option-save-music-shorts-channel-management-guide/722219/">a “Save Music” feature</a></strong></span> that will allow users to save audios to their chosen sounds folder within the app. The sounds can then be easily found again or reused on the user’s own videos. YouTube has also expanded its Inspiration tab to now provide AI-generated content tips and ideas. Creators can enter a topic into the search bar and YouTube will generate ideas based on what channel viewers are likely to want to see.</p>

<p>X has added a new <a href="https://techcrunch.com/2024/07/24/x-launches-underwhelming-grok-powered-more-about-this-account-feature/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>“More About This Account”</strong></span> </a>feature to its Grok AI model. The feature, currently only available to paid X members, appears when users hover their cursor over a handle or display name on the web. Once clicked, the feature will then generate an AI-generated synopsis of the user.</p>

<h2>Why Did Google Initially Want to Abandon Third-Party Cookies?</h2>
<p>Google initially planned to phase out third-party cookies due to <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://terakeet.com/blog/death-of-third-party-cookies/">significant privacy concerns</a></span>. These cookies have been criticised for enabling invasive tracking of users, leading to a push for stronger privacy protections and increased regulatory scrutiny.</p>

<p>In 2020, Google announced its intention to stop supporting third-party cookies once a solution that worked for users, publishers, and advertisers was found, initially targeting early 2022 for the launch of this new alternative.</p>
<p>One of the proposals was called &#8220;Federated Learning of Cohorts&#8221; (FLoC), which involved grouping people based on similar browsing behaviours, so only &#8220;cohort IDs,&#8221; not individual user IDs, would be targeted.</p>
<p>Google had previously expressed strong confidence in the progress of its proposals. However, the company has repeatedly delayed phasing out cookies, citing feedback from the advertising industry regarding the changes&#8217; impact, which could potentially lead to less effective ad campaigns.</p>

Considering graphic design is a field of creative work that’s particularly in high demand, there have been concerns amongst designers that AI could potentially replace them. Donning our investigative hats, we sought out Demojo’s very own graphic designers and what do they have to say about this seemingly AI takeover?<br />
Demojo’s Creative Group Head, Liza, said she has no qualms about AI and in fact generative is able to help her as a designer to produce photography or assets needed in a more efficient way. She added that diverse AI platforms offer significant assistance with our daily work functions, particularly in terms of creativity. There are numerous prompt recipes to learn to create accurate prompts for AI photo generation. This process can sometimes be time-consuming, requiring extensive exploration to obtain the right photo or asset.</p>

Users will receive a streak badge, in the form of a flame emoji, when they have DM’d someone for more than three days in a row. A streak will end when neither person sends a message within 24 hours of the last message. TikTok will also give users a nudge when their streak is about to end. If you would rather opt out of this you can turn the feature off through the app’s Privacy settings.</p>

The feature is still in development but users can now request to create a new community and be added to a waitlist. There are currently over 5,800 communities on the waitlist.</p>

First up, “Notes Prompts,” will allow users to start conversations based on templated questions. Instagram is also adding a “Like” option and users will be able to add @ mentions to Notes.</p>

<p>Snap is planning to <a href="https://techcrunch.com/2024/04/17/snap-plans-to-add-watermarks-to-images-created-with-its-ai-powered-tools/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>add watermarks to any AI-generated images</strong></span></a> exported from the app or saved to the camera roll. The watermark will be a translucent image of the Snap logo accompanied by a sparkle emoji. Snap has stated that removing the watermark from the images would violate its terms of use.</p>

<h5><strong>LinkedIn is testing new Premium Company Pages</strong></h5>
<p>LinkedIn is testing a new subscription offering for businesses called <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a href="https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/linkedins-testing-premium-company-pages-business-subscription-option/713532/">LinkedIn Premium Company Pages</a></strong></span>. The new service will help brands stand out in the app with new and exclusive features. These include custom call-to-action buttons, ‘Who visited my page’ notifications, custom testimonials, AI-powered post-writing assistance, and more. Pages will also receive a LinkedIn Premium logo. LinkedIn has confirmed that it’s testing this new option with selected SMB users, with a starting price point of $99 per month.</p>

<h5><b>TikTok is working on an AI-based text-to-speech feature</b></h5>
<p>In the latest version of the TikTok app for Android, something known as the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>‘<a href="https://www.threads.net/@mattnavarra/post/C6DzHJJIuMX">TikTok Voice Library’</a></strong></span> was discovered by code spotter <a href="https://thespandroid.blogspot.com/2024/04/TikTok-AI-Voice-Cloning-Feature.html"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>AssembleDebug</strong></span></a>. The introduction screen to this feature explains that users will be able to create an AI version of their voice by reading out a piece of on-screen text. Users can then utilise this voice in the text-to-voice feature for their videos. It is believed that voices will eventually be available in the TikTok Voice Library for others to use.</p>
